Your Impact - Orchestrate Freight Velocity: Execute the rapid, precision loading and unloading of LTL trailers using a SitDown Counterbalance forklift. - Master Weight Logistics: Calculate and manage optimal weight distribution across trailers to ensure maximum safety and transport efficiency. - Drive Data Precision: Maintain 100% inventory accuracy by meticulously tracking every freight movement using handheld scanning technology. - Lead Independent Operations: Command the dock with total autonomy, maintaining highspeed throughput while serving as the primary guardian of site safety protocols. - Optimize Your Lifestyle: Anchor a consistent MondayFriday (2:00 PM 10:30 PM) shift, allowing you to bypass Calgarys peak traffic while keeping your weekends entirely yours. Who You Are - LTL Specialist: Deep experience in the LessThanTruckload sector and understanding of the unique /'puzzlesolving/' nature of freight loading. - Skilled Operator: A master of the SitDown Counterbalance forklift, comfortable maneuvering in fastpaced, highvolume environments. - Independent DecisionMaker: Thrive when given the keys to the dock, capable of managing complex workflows without constant supervision. - TechSavvy Logistics Pro: Proficient with scanning systems and understand the importance of realtime data in the supply chain. - Strategic Thinker: Analyze weight, balance, and safety to ensure every load is roadready. Responsibilities - Safely operate a SitDown Counterbalance forklift to move LTL freight across the dock. - Load and unload various types of trailers, ensuring weight distribution is balanced. - Work independently to prioritize shipments based on departure times. - Scan and track freight using handheld devices to maintain 100% inventory accuracy. - Identify and report any damaged goods before they are loaded for transport. - Maintain a clean and organized dock floor to ensure a safe transition for the morning crew. Qualifications - Valid Forklift Ticket/Certification (Required). - Must be available for afternoon training before moving to the regular night shift. - 12 years of experience operating a SitDown Counterbalance forklift. - Previous experience with LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight is a major asset. - Must have CSAapproved steeltoed boots and highvisibility gear.
