We are seeking a Junior Database Administrator to provide server and database administration support across multiple environments, including critical applications. This role is a 12-month contract based in Cold Lake, AB. This is a 100% onsite role, no remote work or relocation assistance available.This role focuses primarily on ongoing production support of existing databases and offers an excellent opportunity for earlycareer professionals looking to grow in database administration. The successful candidate will work closely with global Infrastructure teams and play a key role in supporting database development, acceptance, and production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide server and database administration support for multiple database environmentsPerform backup and recovery operationsMonitor database space usage and capacityAssist with database reorganizations and performance tuningSupport troubleshooting and issue resolutionAssist with database version upgradesMaintain database objects (tables, indexes, views, etc.)Support implementation of development, acceptance, and production environmentsCollaborate with Infrastructure and IT teams across multiple regionsSkills & QualificationsPrevious experience as an IT professional (entrylevel experience acceptable)Basic experience or knowledge of Database AdministrationWorking knowledge of SQLUnderstanding of databases, data structures, and analytical conceptsStrong problemsolving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to learn quickly and work well within a teamExperience LevelThis role is suitable for a juniorlevel Database AdministratorExtensive prior experience is not requiredIdeal for candidates looking to build handson experience in database operations and production support
