Must haves: (these must haves are used to screen the resumes) 5 7 years of project and/or program management experience in the healthcare sector, managing medium to large projects/programs and progressively increasingly scale and scope of execution authority Experience planning and leading large meetings. Experience in the health care sector and public service, with existing positive relationships an asset. In-depth knowledge and application of the Project Management LifeCycle and Software Development LifeCycle, as well as modern mode two ways of working. e.g., Agile/ScrumResponsibilities:The Intermediate Program Manager aims to enable the following team objectives: Handle stakeholder/hospital relationships and manage expectations. Create progress tracking dashboards for internal Agency and external stakeholders, such as LDGs (local delivery groups) Gather input and create knowledge base to support detailed project planning and/or integrated portfolio plan. Proactively identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed; identify potential conflicts between project and functional areas Work with subject matter experts, within the Agency to gather internal stakeholder feedback and business requirements Articulate and prioritize issues and risks and recommend mitigation strategies for decision makers Update and monitor program document repository to ensure all documents are current and reviewed Desired Skills: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Health Studies, Public Administration or related field, or equivalent experience is required. Project Management, or related professional designation as asset Experience working in a hybrid environment, equally comfortable working with teams online or in person. Experience planning and leading large meetings. Experience in the Ontario health care sector and public service, with existing positive relationships an asset. Organizing program and activities Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities. Client Engagement and Client Management, including but not limited to health care organizations and technology providers Manage Program Go-live schedules Manage Project Risk/Issue Management Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved. Required Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate opportunities for innovation with internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, to communicate effectively with senior leaders, clinicians, and executives; communicate in a high-risk environment, discuss technical concepts, produce documents. Ability to apply conceptual models to planning to product actionable execution approaches. Exceptionally skilled at producing documents, dashboards and supporting program materials with the Microsoft 365 suite, Microsoft Project, and other common business tools. Skilled understanding how to frame information and communicate it in a high-risk and fast-paced environment where information sharing to demonstrate transparency and trust is closely balanced with the reputational and liability risks of not sharing the appropriate information to the right audience or at the right time. Ability to maintain awareness of varying stakeholder objectives and to foster positive outcomes by actively listening, facilitating, and communicating complex content to large and diverse audiences. Strong ability to work in collaborative planning, consensus building, and influence between stakeholders with diverse interests. Adept at managing trade-offs and evaluating opportunities for innovation with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to identify the work required and organize, facilitate and/or perform the work with only limited guidance. Ability to moderate in a manner that keeps large audiences engaged. Ability to be delivery focused and passionate about achieving the program objectives with an internal sense of accountability. Capacity to be aware of, control, and express ones emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Ability to keep calm and rational despite high pressure. Politically acuity to understand how to support and navigate with Hospital and LDG partners. Ability to propose decisions where results have major impact across the organization.
