What Youll DoLead the mechanical engineering discipline on major nuclear projects from concept through executionAct as the primary mechanical interface with OPG and key project stakeholdersOversee and review engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, BOMs, piping layouts, stress analyses, and HVAC designsEnsure full compliance with Canadian nuclear codes and CNSC regulatory requirementsLead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and designersCoordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project deliveryReview and approve vendor documentation and technical submittalsDrive fitforpurpose, compliant, and costeffective engineering solutionsSupport proposals, project planning, risk management, and client presentationsIdentify and manage scope changes, risks, and technical opportunitiesWhat You BringBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)P.Eng. license in Ontario (required)15+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years in nuclear projectsDirect OPG experience (employee, contractor, or consultant) mandatoryActive OPG security clearanceStrong working knowledge of OPG systems and processes (ECC, Asset Suite 9, EBOM)Deep understanding of CSA nuclear standards (N285, N286, N299) and CNSC requirementsFamiliarity with Bruce Power processes is an assetExperience with tools such as ANSYS, Caesar II, AutoPIPEProven ability to lead teams, manage complexity, and interface with senior stakeholdersStrong communication skills and a clientfocused mindsetWhy This RoleSenior, visible leadership position in Canadas nuclear sectorLongterm, stable project portfolioOpportunity to influence standards, strategy, and innovationCollaborative, highperforming engineering environment
