With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (JBS Canada) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locationsthe main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Process Improvement Manager is the champion and thought leader for driving a strong culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and business agility across all plant operations. This role is responsible for improving overall plant performance, including efficiency, labor, throughput, cost, and waste reduction, by leading structured continuous improvement initiatives and executing endtoend improvement projects.This position works crossfunctionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Support Functions to identify performance gaps, streamline processes, and enhance the effectiveness of production systems. The Process Improvement Manager actively engages employees at all levels of the organization to identify opportunities, implement sustainable solutions, and embed standardized ways of working.The role requires the ability to diagnose operational inefficiencies, lead change, and ensure improvements are adopted and sustained on the plant floor. Success is measured by measurable improvements in plant efficiency, overall optimization, waste elimination, and cost performance, as well as the ability to educate, coach, and enroll teams in continuous improvement principles.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn partnership with Senior Leadership, define prioritized process improvement initiatives complete with actions plans, resource models, project milestones and success metrics. Manage the deployment and training of the production team on new projects. Develop new and maintain existing courses assigned to youChampion Lean Principles and practices across the organization fostering a deeper understanding and adoption of these core principles.Train and coach leaders and operations teams in the use of the Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (5S, PDCA, SDCA) Work with Organizational Managers and key stakeholders to design and develop best practices and processes that utilize resources across various value streams.Responsible for consistency and operation continuity of Lean Production Principles.Anticipate and plan for process integration initiatives that support the underlying business objectives. Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and deploy these new improvements to the operations teams.Facilitate teaching in both the classroom and production environments. Serve as a role model for excellent instructional training and development of these capabilities in others.Function as Work Process Improvement pillar owner Develop and oversee, policies, systems and procedures necessary to support cost reduction and system utilization goals (KPIs). Help to ensure reliability systems are developed to be as robust as safety, quality and environment systems Promote the lean Everyday Ideas Program through emails, articles, posters, videos, etc. Create charts, graphs and presentations to communicate business process, waste and improvements for a processAssists with developing and providing timely reports to all stakeholdersDevelops comparative data from other JBS Business Units to target performance improvement opportunities in CanadaMust have a working knowledge of 5S, Continuous Flow Production and writing process control documentation.Prioritize process improvement initiatives and elaborate actions plans, resource models, project milestones and success metrics, in accordance with JBS corporate annual projection. Analyze and design the deployment and training of the production team to satisfy the needs of JBS customer demands.Assists with developing and providing timely labor and cost reports to all stakeholders.Lead labor analysis, optimization, and workforce productivity initiatives.Champion datadriven and AIenabled decisionmaking for process improvement initiatives.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESA bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science or related field and minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible positions in a beef processing facility, including implementing process improvement projects and demonstrated hands on training delivery.Good written and verbal skills.Ability to understand and perform qualitative data analysis.Outstanding interpersonal, teaching and leadership skills.Role Model for change and a champion of lean production principles.Ability to influence across departments and various levels of leadership.Strong background in problem solving, planning and organization.Ability to understand, perform, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data analysis to support operational decisionmaking and continuous improvement initiatives.Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Power point and Excel (know how to use the functionality macros). Lean and/or Six Sigma certification required (Green Belt or Black Belt) at a level to successfully continue to advance the culture of continuous improvement.Experience with business intelligence tools and dashboard development (Qlik Sense).Exposure to or working knowledge of AIdriven solutions, advanced analytics, or automation tools.Valid driver license requiredWilling and able to travel internationally FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION
