We care about getting things right and were looking for someone who feels the same way.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a systems and leadership role, not a production floor position. Youd be responsible for owning our food safety and quality programs at a program level - setting direction, maintaining our SQF certification, and making sure our labels, records, and compliance obligations are in good shape. Youll also be responsible for an SQF Analyst who handles more of the day-to-day manual work, so part of this role is organizing and directing that work effectively. Its a good fit if you like having ownership over a function and genuinely care that things are done properly.WHAT YOULL BE DOINGOwning the SQF program: documentation, audit readiness, corrective actions, and continuous improvementManaging and directing an SQF Analyst who supports with day-to-day manual work on the production floor; this person will jointly report to you and our office managerMaking sure our processes and products meet CFIA and other applicable regulatory requirementsOverseeing recipe records and version-controlled documentation across our product linesReviewing product labels for compliance including ingredient lists, claims, and applicable standardsHandling export paperwork, including veterinary certificates and market-specific requirements for the US and EUWriting and maintaining SOPs and internal quality policiesBeing the go-to person internally for food safety documentation and regulatory questionsWorking alongside operations, sales, and production teams on compliance-related projectsWHAT WERE LOOKING FORYou dont need deep food safety experience. The technical side can be learned.
