Position Overview The Mechanical Engineer Projects will play a key role in supporting engineering, procurement, and manufacturing initiatives from initial planning through to delivery. This position is responsible for coordinating projects, ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards, and maintaining alignment with scope, schedule, and cost expectations. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with production, quality, procurement, and project teams, acting as a central point of coordination to ensure successful project execution. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review project documentation including technical specifications, bills of materials, manufacturing drawings, procedures, and travelersProvide technical support across projects, including manpower planning, capacity evaluation, tool selection, fixture concepts, and sequencing of operationsSupport project planning and execution, including facilitating project kickoffs, manufacturing reviews, and milestone trackingDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables aligned with customer and internal requirementsMonitor project progress and implement corrective actions to manage scope, cost, and timelinesMaintain and update project-related data within ERP systems (e.g., creating orders, item numbers, production tracking)Collaborate closely with internal teams across production, quality, procurement, and project managementAct as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients regarding technical requirements and project statusIdentify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or complianceEnsure adherence to applicable industry standards and regulatory requirementsPromote and support a strong safety culture in all aspects of project executionQualifications & Requirements Education & ExperienceDegree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience710 years of experience in mechanical engineering and/or project coordination within a manufacturing environmentExperience in highly regulated industries is considered an assetTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing, machining, and assembly processesProficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&TExperience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks/PDM) and Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is an assetWorking knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, CSA, ISO) is considered an assetUnderstanding of project management methodologies and toolsSoft SkillsStrong organizational and project coordination capabilitiesEffective communication and stakeholder management skillsSound problem-solving and decision-making abilityDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to join a technically advanced organization where engineering rigor, quality, and project execution are central to success.
