In this role, youll play a key part in driving project excellence, collaborating with industry leaders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex infrastructure initiatives.About PTAGAt PTAG, we help our clients plan, manage, and execute their most challenging projects with innovation, integrity, and collaboration.Our mission is to help our clients achieve successful delivery and efficient operation of their capital projects.Our vision is to support global leaders in the selection, planning, and execution of their major initiatives.Our values include:Safety: The safety of our employees, suppliers, and clients is always the top priority.Collaboration: We build true partnerships with clients and service providers.Leadership: We elevate project performance through the application of best practices.Accountability: We take responsibility for every aspect of our engagements.Client Satisfaction: We strive for 100% satisfaction on every project.Integrity: We believe in open and transparent communication at all levels.Role & ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Provide Project Controls leadership on a major infrastructure project, reporting to the Director, Project Services and working closely with the Project DirectorLead and manage the project controls team, including cost control, scheduling, document control, risk management, and estimationSupport development and maintenance of the project execution plan and identify resource requirementsMonitor and control project performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and riskAnalyze gaps between approved budgets and actual costs and recommend corrective actionsProvide planning support including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reportingLead evaluation of project schedule, cost, and quality targets and apply governance controlsDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules and support CAPEX estimate developmentContribute to risk management processes, including contingency planning and trackingIdentify trends, root causes of deviations, and recommend mitigation strategiesCoordinate estimating efforts across disciplines to compile project budgets for each phaseLead planning sessions and workshops to develop and maintain the master schedule and critical pathManage project change processes and ensure impacts are integrated into scope, cost, and scheduleEnsure all deliverables meet established quality standardsPrepare and deliver status reports to internal and external stakeholders, including PMO reportingEnsure adherence to project control procedures, methodologies, and performance standardsTrack invoicing and payment schedulesCollaborate with corporate finance teams to support financial reporting requirementsSupport communications across project teams, executives, and community stakeholdersPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications / RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you bring:Bachelors degree (or higher) in a relevant technical or business disciplineExtensive experience in a Project Controls leadership role on major capital projectsMinimum 7+ years of experience in large-scale project environments ($500M+)Strong knowledge of AACE and PMI best practices and methodologiesExperience preparing and presenting detailed reports to project teams, executives, and external stakeholdersProficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)Hands-on experience with project controls systems such as Primavera P6, MS Project, PRISM, EcoSys, and other related toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in complex environmentsProven leadership capability, including coaching and managing project controls teamsPMP, P.Eng., or other relevant industry certifications (preferred)Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under tight timelinesWhy Join PTAG?At PTAG, youll be part of a dynamic, growing consulting firm that values professional development, collaboration, and innovation.Opportunity to work on major infrastructure and capital projectsExposure to industry-leading clients and partnersCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageFlexible work environment and opportunities for advancementEmployee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP)A culture that values safety, accountability, and excellencePTAG is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.How to ApplyReady to take the next step in your career?
