This role is critical in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll while delivering an excellent employee experience related to compensation, benefits and other HR administrative fields.The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in ADP payroll systems, Canadian payroll legislation, and benefits administration, with the ability to support future company growth.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll AdministrationProcess full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for all Canadian employees using ADPEnsure accuracy of payroll data including earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and statutory remittancesMaintain payroll records in compliance with federal and provincial legislationReconcile payroll reports and prepare journal entries for FinanceManage year-end payroll activities including T4s, ROEs, and auditsRespond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional mannerBenefits AdministrationAdminister group benefits programsManage employee enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefits systemsAct as primary liaison with benefits providers and brokersSupport the design, implementation, and communication of new or enhanced benefits plansMonitor market trends and recommend improvements to benefits offeringsCompliance & Employee SupportEnsure compliance with Canadian payroll laws, CRA requirements, and employment standardsSupport internal and external audits related to payroll and benefitsPartner with HR to ensure accurate employee data and seamless onboarding/offboarding processesImmigration & Work Permit SupportCoordinate work permit renewals and tracking in collaboration with HRMaintain accurate records of employee eligibility to work in CanadaLiaise with external legal or immigration partners as neededFuture Scope / GrowthSupport implementation and administration of future HR programs and practicesContribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and payroll/HR integrationsQualifications5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administrationHands-on experience with ADP payroll systems (Workforce Now preferred)Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and CRA requirementsPCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation is a strong assetExperience with benefits plan administration and vendor managementExposure to multi-jurisdictional payroll is a must; exposure to US payroll is a strong assetHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentialityStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
