Position Overview We are seeking an ambitious, seasoned, and highly organized Product Owner to join our Product Team. This role owns backlog outcomes and delivery execution for a defined product area, partnering with Product Management on strategy and roadmap. You will convert Product Manager strategy, research, and OKRs into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, driving high-quality delivery in close collaboration with Engineering, Design, and key stakeholders. As Product Owner, you will keep teams aligned on priorities, guide scope and timeline trade-offs, remove blockers, and ensure work shipped delivers measurable customer and business value. Youll collaborate with our Technology and Innovation team and stakeholders across the business to build, launch, improve, and maintain products that meet customer needs within a specific line of business. Key Responsibilities Execution & Delivery Translate Product Manager strategy, research, and OKRs into prioritized epics, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria. Own and continuously refine the product backlog for a defined product areaensuring items are well-scoped, testable, and ready for development. Lead core Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily coordination as needed, reviews, and retrospectives) to drive predictable delivery and continuous improvement. Partner closely with Engineering and Design to ensure shared understanding of goals, requirements, and constraints; proactively remove ambiguity and unblock progress. Act as the day-to-day decision-maker for delivery trade-offs (scope, sequencing, timelines), escalating as appropriate while maintaining momentum. Monitor progress throughout the delivery lifecycle, validate outcomes against acceptance criteria, and ensure quality bar is met before release. Coordinate release readiness (documentation, enablement, communications, and stakeholder alignment) to ensure launches are successful and on schedule. Facilitate demos, feedback loops, and iteration based on stakeholder and user input to improve product outcomes. Operate as a self-starter with strong ownershipidentifying risks early, proposing solutions, and driving work forward with minimal oversight. Communicate exceptionally wellproviding clear, concise updates and translating technical details into stakeholder-ready decisions and next steps. Roadmap Enablement (PM Partnership) Act as an extension of Product Management in a small team bringing well-formed options, trade-offs, and recommendations (not just requirements) to support roadmap decisions. Translate delivery learnings, customer feedback, and technical constraints into roadmap inputs: sequencing proposals, milestone readiness, dependency mapping, and risk mitigation plans. Support quarterly and release planning by linking epics to roadmap themes and OKRs, clarifying scope boundaries, and highlighting decision points early. Maintain lightweight artifacts that enable execution at scale (assumptions, dependencies, decision logs, and risk registers) to improve alignment and delivery predictability. Define and track success signals for roadmap initiatives (adoption, workflow completion, quality/defects, operational impact) and propose iteration plans based on measurable outcomes. Communicate exceptionally wellproviding concise, stakeholder-ready updates and translating technical realities into clear choices and next steps Discovery & Product Insights Contribute lightweight discovery by gathering inputs from stakeholders, customer-facing teams, support themes, and release feedback to identify problems worth solving. Translate findings into clear problem statements, assumptions, and backlog-ready recommendations (what to solve, why now, expected impact). Partner with Product Management to validate priorities and define simple success measures for key initiatives (adoption, workflow completion, quality/defects, operational impact). Review outcomes post-release and synthesize learnings into actionable iteration proposals for the backlog. Support occasional competitor or vendor research by documenting high-level observations, use cases, and practical implications for product direction. Operate as a self-starter with strong ownership, independently driving clarity, closing gaps, and communicating exceptionally well across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships across Engineering, Design, Sales, Support/Operations, and Leadership to ensure priorities reflect customer and business needs. Proactively drive alignment and decisions by framing trade-offs (scope, sequencing, timelines), surfacing risks early, and proposing clear options with recommendations. Facilitate effective working sessions to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and maintain shared understanding of outcomes and acceptance criteria. Communicate exceptionally welldelivering concise, stakeholder-ready updates and translating technical constraints into clear decisions and next steps. Act as a self-starter and owner: independently close gaps, follow through on commitments, and remove blockers without waiting for direction. AI Requirements Stay current on advancements in applied AI and advocate for responsible adoption, balancing innovation with security, compliance, privacy, and ethical standards. Identify and propose practical opportunities to leverage AI within product features and workflows, with clear problem statements, expected impact, and measurable success criteria (and recommend non-AI options when appropriate). Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Innovation/Technology to assess AI-specific feasibility (data availability/quality, privacy/security, compliance, operational risks) and define evaluation criteria and delivery approach for AI-enabled features. Support rapid experimentation and iteration by helping define MVP scope, evaluation criteria, and learnings that feed roadmap and backlog decisions. Ability to present AI-driven initiatives effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, highlighting both opportunities and limitations. Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or equivalent) to accelerate analysis, documentation, and stakeholder communications, validating outputs and adhering to data privacy/security expectations. Qualifications 5+ years preferred (4+ minimum) experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst/Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile/Scrum environment. Scrum certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent) preferred. Demonstrated experience translating product strategy and business goals into prioritized epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and driving delivery with cross-functional teams. Experience contributing beyond delivery execution by bringing customer feedback, operational insights, and data-informed recommendations into roadmap discussions. Proficiency with Jira and Confluence (or equivalent) for backlog management and documentation. Skills & Attributes Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong stakeholder management and influence skills, able to align teams, drive decisions, and navigate trade-offs effectively. Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership who thrives in ambiguity and consistently moves work forward with minimal oversight. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable using metrics and feedback to prioritize, validate outcomes, and recommend iterations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines. Customer-centric and collaborative, partnering effectively with Product, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes.
