SiteTalent is partnering with a well-established General Contractor based in Vancouver, BC, to find an experienced Project Manager ready to lead complex, multi-disciplinary construction projects. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team where your technical expertise and leadership will directly shape project outcomes across commercial and residential builds.Reporting to the VP of Construction and/or Project Director, you will take full ownership of project delivery - driving safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance from initiation through closeout.Responsibilities:Champion a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across all project sites, ensuring compliance with company HSE standards and applicable OH&S legislation for all staff and subtrades.Own the full project lifecycle - from planning and initiation through execution, monitoring, and closeout - ensuring all phases are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.Lead contract preparation and negotiation, including CCDC agreements, in close collaboration with senior leadership.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subtrades, and other external stakeholders, managing expectations proactively and professionally.Drive financial accountability through accurate forecasting, transparent reporting, and thorough monthly documentation.Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, taking a proactive approach to protect schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets.Pre-qualify trades during pre-construction, manage procurement packages, and negotiate and execute subcontracts.Lead client and trade meetings, setting clear agendas and driving outcomes that support project progression.Direct and mentor Project Coordinators and Administrators in document control, correspondence, meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and record keeping.Review and approve invoices, progress claims, holdback releases, and certificates of completion with a thorough understanding of the BC Lien Act.Oversee the change order process, reviewing requests and negotiating disputed items strategically.Develop and maintain the master project schedule, tracking milestones and updating baselines in alignment with the prime contract.Establish and manage the Project Quality and Safety Program to ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards.Lead complete project closeout, including Substantial Completion, Occupancy, Handover, site demobilization, and all associated documentation such as warranties and O&M manuals.Mentor and develop team members through coaching, training, and regular performance feedback, fostering a high-performance project culture.What You'll Bring:3-5 years experience in project management with a proven track record.A minimum of 2 full project lifecycles as the lead PM on commercial or residential construction projects in excess of $40M or single-family projects in excess of $20M.Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.Professional designations or certifications such as P.Eng., PMP, LEED, Passive House, GSC, or Mass Timber are considered strong assets.Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, budgeting, and current industry practices.Strong financial acumen with experience in cost reporting, forecasting, and contract management.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to collaborate across all project levels and navigate complex environments with clarity and confidence.Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams, with a track record of building collaborative, high-performing groups.Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills - you look beyond the surface, anticipate constructibility issues, and develop practical solutions.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to reach consensus with a range of stakeholders.A growth mindset - you embrace new challenges, learn quickly, and continuously seek ways to improve.Effective time management and prioritization; you consistently deliver more with focus and discipline.Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites as required.Basic First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).What We Can Offer You:Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000Comprehensive benefits package transitioning to match industry standardsHow to Apply: Through this posting or email your resume to About SiteTalent:We are a specialized growth and talent partner for the industrial sector.
