Job Description

At Porcea Stone, we set the standard for outdoor porcelain and natural stone across North America. Our Porcea Elite Collection, crafted in Italy, is trusted by landscape contractors, dealers, architects, and builders who expect the best. We're looking for a driven Account Executive who can own a territory, build a book of business, and become a trusted technical resource for clients navigating complex projects. If you've spent time in a role where you had to learn a technical product inside and out whether that's building materials, industrial supplies, mechanical systems, or something else entirely and you loved the challenge of translating that knowledge into client relationships and closed deals, this is the role for you. What you'll do: Become the Go-To Technical Resource - Master the details of natural stone and outdoor porcelain specifications, applications, and project requirements - Field technical questions from contractors, dealers, and architects with confidence - Translate product knowledge into solutions that solve real project problems Own the Estimating and Quote Cycle - Complete accurate take-offs and project estimations for natural stone and outdoor porcelain scopes - Prepare and submit professional quotations to clients in a timely manner - Follow up on quotes to move deals forward and answer follow-up questions - Track quotations and maintain visibility on all pending opportunities Manage Client Relationships & Projects - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on behalf of the sales team - Maintain clear, professional communication throughout the entire project lifecycle - Process and manage confirmed orders, ensuring smooth handoffs to fulfillment - Coordinate internally with the sales team to ensure every project executes flawlessly Support Profitable Growth - Build and grow a book of business within your territory - Develop repeat business with key accounts through reliability and expertise - Contribute to pipeline health and forecasting accuracy Who you are: Technical Foundation - You have hands-on experience in building materials, industrial products, or construction (HVAC, electrical supplies, landscaping, masonry, or similar). You know how to learn a complex product. - You're comfortable with take-offs, estimations, and working with technical specifications. Numbers and precision are your domain. - You bring familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Dynamics 365, or you're genuinely eager to learn these systems quickly. Estimator's Discipline - You take pride in accuracy. A take-off or quote with errors reflects poorly on you, and that bothers you. - You're methodical and detail-oriented. You document your work, track your assumptions, and can walk someone through your numbers. - You're curious about how estimates translate into actual project execution. You want to understand the full picture, not just hand off numbers. Clear Communication - You explain technical details in a way clients understand. You ask clarifying questions before you estimate, not after. - You communicate in writing as clearly as you do in conversation. Your quotes are easy to follow and professionally presented. - You follow up on your estimates and are responsive to client questions. You own the estimate until it's either closed or lost. Team & Growth Mindset - You're organized and systems-oriented. You track your commitments, meet deadlines, and maintain clear records. - You see yourself as part of a team. You coordinate with the sales team, flag issues early, and make handoffs smooth. - You're interested in learning how the business works. As you grow in this role, you're open to supporting sales strategy and operations understanding territory dynamics, identifying account patterns, and eventually supporting business development. Capacity: Full-time, in-person (in Bolton, ON) Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 (based on experience).
