Position Overview The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful execution of glass fabricated product projects from start to finish. This includes coordinating information, materials, and production processes for specific products and project orders. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments such as sales, estimating, scheduling, purchasing, and shipping to ensure customer expectations are met. The Project Coordinator also serves as a key point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and clarifications throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a high level of detail orientation, organizational skill, and the ability to work within structured systems while supporting crossdepartmental communication. Key Responsibilities Project Management (70%) Review project documents including takeoffs, architectural shop drawings, project quotes, and project specifications to understand the scope of the project and develop a project management plan Work closely with scheduling, purchasing, quality, and shipping teams for each order to ensure customer expectations for delivery are met Complete project documentation packages, drawing sets, and Standard Operating Procedures for projects Collaborate in the production scheduling process and monitor project manufacturing activity Assist the shipping department by developing appropriate packaging lists and sequencing delivery dates Manage dolly Aframe control and ensure timely return from project sites Attend project and site meetings to review, negotiate, and finalize project details while assessing and resolving any issues that arise Customer Support (25%) Act as a point of contact with customers via phone and email to finalize and clarify project details for approval Communicate lead time updates, manage rush order requests and back orders Process order revisions and respond to order status inquiries Provide technical support by working with customers to identify the best products for their needs and applications Additional Projects Internal Developments (5%) Participate in product development initiatives with the Research and Development team Contribute as a team member in ad hoc projects requiring collaborative resolution Qualifications (Education, Experience, Training) Completion of a diploma or certificate in Architectural & Building Technology, CADD, Mechanical Design, or a related field 23 years of experience in a project coordination or administrative role within a manufacturing or construction environment Experience working with hardware or door components is considered an asset Glazier or installation experience is an asset PMP designation is considered an asset or interest in pursuing certification is encouraged Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook) Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong problem solving, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently as well as be a contributing member of a team High attention to accuracy of details Excellent work ethic, selfmotivated and driven Working Conditions This position works primarily in an office environment with occasional time spent within a manufacturing environment. This position may require travel to offsite meetings and events. Standard Office: Comfortable indoor area Comfortable environment with exposure to some dust, dirt or other conditions which might produce mild discomfort Frequent, short periods when it is necessary to pay close attention to the monitoring of sights and sounds Moderate mental demands due to one or more conditions which are present in the job. There may be noticeable pressure from simultaneous priorities and deadlines Manufacturing Plant: Temperature controlled indoor area Comfortable environment with exposure to some dust, dirt or other conditions which might produce mild discomfort Frequent, short periods when it is necessary to pay close attention to the monitoring of sights and sounds Safety sensitive environment with mobile equipment and overhead cranes Physically demanding job requiring one to stand for extended periods of time Most departments have a requirement to lift up to 50lbs. throughout shift Quantitative Dimensions This role does not have direct reports.
