The successful candidate will be a key player in the management of hourly warehouse staff, ensuring the accuracy of order picking, receiving, and loading to meet critical delivery deadlines. Main Duties & Responsibilities Leadership: Assist with directing hourly warehouse personnel and managing daily task allocation. Operations: Coordinate dock operations, including managing inbound/outbound trucks and ensuring strict adherence to dock safety protocols. Quality Control: Evaluate and disposition all incoming freight and ensure the accurate and efficient loading of outbound freight through rigorous order verification. Inventory Management: Manage the site cycle count program, perform department cycle counts, and conduct inventory activities as required by DC procedures. Documentation: Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping labels; receive inbound and post outbound orders in the system. Safety: Abide by all safety and operating rules, ensuring a secure environment for all staff. Responsibilities Oversee all dock operations, scheduling inbound/outbound trucks and ensuring strict dock safety compliance. Coordinate the efficient loading of outbound freight and perform rigorous order verification to ensure 100% accuracy. Manage and execute the sites cycle count program; perform regular department audits and inventory activities as dictated by DC procedures. Evaluate all incoming freight for quality and accuracy, making disposition decisions for damaged or incorrect materials. Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office to create Bills of Lading, generate shipping labels, and process inbound and outbound orders. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing all operating rules and ensuring compliance with DOT 49 CFR HAZMAT standards. Facilitate smooth communication between departments to resolve logistics bottlenecks and ensure timely arrival/departure of material. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. DOT 49 CFR HAZMAT certification or the ability to obtain certification. Proven warehouse experience required; forklift and/or reachtruck experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages; SAP experience and TMS knowledge is a significant plus. Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg, navigate a highvolume distribution center, and maintain manual dexterity for PC and keyboard use.
