Job Overview We are recruiting a Quality Engineer to work at our Windsor, ON plant (6500 Cantelon Dr.). This position will provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples, as well as coming up with solutions to improve the products and quality process within the manufacturing plant. Key Responsibilities Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes. Establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence. Analyze data by completing hypothesis tests, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data. Ensure the company is fully prepared for all IATF 16949 audits. Liaise with the customer on quality issues and ensure that all required team members are aware of any quality concerns. Ensure training occurs on all processes and manage the training required for all team members/departments. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Adhere to 5S philosophy. Perform other assigned duties. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering or related field. 57 years experience in quality in the automotive industry. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends. Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. Strong problemsolving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies. Ability to develop and implement quality standards and promote continuous improvement. Understanding of PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, and APQP. Knowledge of GD&T. Understanding of VDA 6.3. Computer skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to travel internationally, including the US, China, Europe and other countries. Mandarin speaking is an asset.
