Manager, Zero-Emission Bus Infrastructure Hatch has an opening for the Manager, Zero-Emission Bus Infrastructure in our Vancouver, BC office. This role supports bus infrastructure projects including maintenance facility design, station design, BRT infrastructure, and electric bus charging infrastructure. The manager will assist clients in developing infrastructure plans and designs related to transitioning light, medium, and heavyduty vehicles (such as municipal fleets and buses) to zeroemission technologies. Candidates do not need experience in all areas highlighted below. The position requires 510 years of experience and is an intermediatelevel role. Responsibilities: Manage projects related to transitioning infrastructure to zeroemission technologies. Provide technical expertise to support crossdiscipline project teams planning, designing and implementing bus and paratransit solutions. Design infrastructure such as bus stops, charging systems, hydrogen fueling stations, and maintenance facilities to support zeroemission fleets. Work with utilities to assess the impacts of electrifying large fleets. Complete cost estimates associated with zeroemission transitions. Serve as subjectmatter expert on bus and rail fleet planning, vehicle and maintenance infrastructure. Develop specifications and commercial terms for infrastructure procurements. Develop cost estimates and lifecycle analyses to assess existing bus operations. Conduct infrastructure assessment and transition studies. Review technical documents such as design plans and other engineering related deliverables. Produce quality assurance plans and oversee quality control programs. Prepare technical documents/reports and present to clients, project teams, etc. Develop and maintain productive working relationships. Communicate effectively with clients in the development and implementation of projects. Qualifications: BS degree in engineering, with strong preference for electrical engineering. 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience as a lead. Experience working with local transit agencies such as TransLink and BC Transit. Experience with business development and proposal development for consulting work. Background in fleet planning, facility and infrastructure design, or related fields is preferred. A professional engineering license (P.Eng.).
