12month contract position Hybrid working Sydney or Perth Base See yourself in our Team The Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team is accountable for the development, implementation, and ongoing leadership of the Groups financial crime compliance obligations. FCC leads the Groups approach to managing AML/CTF, Sanctions, AntiTax Evasion and AntiBribery and Corruption risks. Our Bankwest FCC Advisory team sits within the CBA Retail FCC Advisory team and provides advice to the Bankwest business on all financial crime matters and oversees Bankwests implementation of the Groups financial crime frameworks as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Do work that matters Reporting to the Executive Manager Bankwest Financial Crime Compliance you will work closely with business stakeholders and FCC colleagues to provide financial crime related advice on projects, transactions, products and financial crime related change. On any given day you will: Support change activities, ensuring alignment with financial crime risk priorities and governance standards. Guide internal stakeholders on how to proactively identify, manage, and mitigate the financial crime risks of the business. Provide quality advice on financial crime matters and participate in relevant risk assessments/reviews and forums as required. Assist the business and Group support functions to develop and execute appropriate action plans to address identified issues relating to financial crime. Facilitate the rollout and embedding of financial crime policies and standards across the Retail Bank ensuring consistent application and adherence. Design and support the delivery of targeted training programs to uplift awareness and capability in managing financial crime risks. Assist in the development and delivery of relevant reporting. Act as a business interface support for the implementation of AML/CTF regulatory reforms. Assist the business to develop controls to enable compliance with the Groups financial crime policy. Work collaboratively with other FCC teams and stakeholders. Were interested in hearing from people who have: Experience in a Risk, Compliance, AML/CTF, Sanctions or ABC role, preferably in an advisory capacity. Understanding of the financial crime regulatory framework with deep technical knowledge of the AML/CTF, Sanctions and ABC risk environment. Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills with proven experience to influence senior stakeholders. Tertiary qualification in Finance, Law or a relevant discipline desirable.
