Job Type: Full Time Schedule: 8+ Hours/day, Fab Shop: Monday-Saturday, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/week Perks: Benefits provided by CLAC Location: Fab Shop: 7331 18 Street NW, Edmonton, AB - no direct access to public transportation. Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6 ankle support Previous experience in a fabrication shop Pre-employment Drug and alcohol testing swab-based Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Mask Fit Testing Apprentice Pipefitter Responsibilities Must be proficient with measuring, cutting, threading, grinding and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings. Read and interpret blue prints and drawings. Utilize oxy/acetylene hand torches, grinders, and bevellers in an efficient and safe manner. Use proper rigging techniques. Promote, execute and adhere to the companys safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Apprentice Qualifications Must be actively registered in the AIT program and working towards obtaining Journeyman or Red Seal Equivalent Steamfitter - Pipefitter Ticket.
