As such, we are continuing to search for a PROJECT MANAGER (Electrical) for an opportunity in the Greater Medicine Hat Area in an Operating Plant environment. Job Description Lead the technical development and design oversight of electrical systems, including switchgear, MCCs, and low/medium voltage infrastructure Managing project development and project execution through to start-up Provide engineering leadership through all project phases from feasibility and detailed design to commissioning and start-up Developing standard practices and procedures related to the management of projects Ensure all engineering work aligns with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations Participating in continuous improvement of project management procedures to improve overall project management effectiveness Collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to ensure designs are safe, reliable, and maintainable Controlling projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget Sharing expertise and resources with other departments, plant sites and corporate offices Examine unexpected or unusual developments as part of the project execution and project design to find and implement innovative solutions Job Requirements 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering Registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta PMP designation is an asset, but not required for candidates with strong technical leadership experience Strong handson experience with switchgear, MCCs, and low/medium voltage systems Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering problems in live plant environments Ability to work in an office and field environment with a high degree of interaction between management, technical, maintenance and selfmanaged operations teams Able to work with minimal supervision and must be highly motivated Excellent verbal and written communication skills Pay rates will be based on experience and current market standards.
