The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the sales function, and managing key client relationships across commercial, industrial, and projects accounts. This is a handson leadership role combining strategic planning, team leadership, and operational coordination. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Team Performance Lead, coach, and hold accountable the sales team, Account Managers, and supporting roles Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and activity expectations Foster a high-performance, processdriven sales culture through regular coaching and performance management Revenue Growth & Business Development Drive new business development across commercial and industrial markets Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, site visits, proposals, and contract negotiations Expand revenue through crossselling, multiservice contracts, and multiyear agreements Account Management & Client Retention Oversee account management strategy to ensure high client retention and satisfaction Maintain relationships with key clients, property managers, and contractors Support contract renewals, upselling opportunities, and resolution of client issues Lead snow and ice management contract sales, renewals, and seasonal pricing strategy Support client communication and service alignment during winter operations Sales Process, Pipeline & CRM Management Manage pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and sales cycle performance Lead regular pipeline reviews and ensure consistent sales activity levels Enforce CRM discipline to maintain accurate, uptodate opportunity and client data Develop and continuously improve standardized sales processes and tools Estimating, Pricing & Margin Management Oversee estimating, RFP responses, and pricing strategies Ensure all work is scoped, priced, and executed to meet margin targets Review and approve contracts, change orders, and major proposals Operations Alignment & Execution Work closely with operations to ensure sold work aligns with capacity and quality standards Ensure clear scope definition and smooth handoff from sales to production Participate in planning discussions to align sales volume with operational capabilities Systems & Process Ownership Champion the use of ERP and CRM systems across the sales process Ensure accurate data flow from estimating through to invoicing Improve efficiency through consistent system usage and process standardization Strategic Planning & Market Development Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and growth planning Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies Identify target markets and develop actionable sales plans to drive growth Reporting & Performance Tracking Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue against targets Provide clear, consistent insights to support decisionmaking Required Skills & Qualifications Postsecondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing or equivalent experience in landscaping, construction, or property services (preferred) 510+ years of B2B sales experience, including 35+ years in a sales leadership role Proven track record of achieving revenue targets, leading and developing sales teams, and closing complex, highvalue contracts Strong understanding of landscape maintenance, snow and ice management, construction/services, and associated contract structures Experience with estimating, job costing, and service delivery models Ability to read site plans, conduct site assessments, and translate scope into accurate pricing Solid understanding of field operations and how work is executed Strength in consultative selling, negotiation, closing, and strategic account growth Ability to build and maintain longterm client relationships Financial acumen including pricing strategy, margin management, and datadriven decisionmaking Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop highperforming teams Experience with performance management and building strong team culture Ability to align sales efforts with operational capacity and business objectives Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems to manage pipeline, forecasting, and sales processes Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Valid drivers license (Note - Wage range posted does not include potential bonus.)
