Title Global Supply Chain Manager Department Engineered Coated Products (ECP) Location Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada Supervisor Director of Global Supply Chain, Truro Operations Status Salaried exempt Position Brief This highimpact leader will drive strategic insights and execution for (1) global logistics, (2) global supply chain and capacity planning between India, US, and Canadian manufacturing sites, and (3) production planning for our Truro operations. This role is the cornerstone of our business success by ensuring that we serve our customers better, faster, and more efficiently. Principle Responsibilities Leadership and Team Development Build and inspire a highperforming team. Foster a culture of customercentricity and accountability. Develop leaders in the team to enable longterm growth and scale. Establish clear expectations and ensure accountability among team members for achieving objectives. Supply Chain Analysis and Optimization Gain a comprehensive understanding of IPGECPs supply chain including manufacturing and distribution locations, baseline product flow and seasonality, operating costs, and key processes. Develop a structured approach to assess improvement opportunities and conduct necessary analysis to define potential supply chain strategies and tactics. Analyze supply chain network design and footprints, including baseline warehousing and distribution cost structure, capacity utilization, inventory flows, and optimization opportunities. Develop highlevel models to support inventory optimization across supply chain networks. Assess inventory planning processes and systems and recommend improvements to optimize service levels and working capital requirements. Create transformation plans for transportation, freight optimization, warehousing, and distribution, including implementation timelines and benefit estimates. Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and manage daytoday team relationships to ensure exceptional performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Develop and manage the budget for supply chain and logistics operations, maintaining cost control while ensuring service quality. Logistics and Warehouse Management Supervise daily warehouse operations at Truro, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and best practices. Analyze and continuously improve supply chain workflows and warehouse processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. Manage relationships with external suppliers, vendors, and thirdparty logistics providers; negotiate contracts and monitor performance. Oversee the movement of goods through the supply chain, ensuring smooth, costeffective, and compliant transportation. Maintain optimal inventory levels across all locations and track key performance indicators such as ontime delivery, order accuracy, and inventory turnover. Provide regular reports to senior management and make datadriven recommendations for improvement. Production Control and Planning Oversee materials management functions, including planning, inventory control, and distribution to support production goals. Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs and expedited shipping expenses. Improve inventory processes, including physical inventory, cycle counting, and yearend valuation. Coordinate product phaseouts and manage obsolescence as required. Direct production planning and scheduling to align with sales forecasts, resolve schedule deviations, and communicate with customers regarding delivery expectations. Investigate and resolve material shortages or supply chain disruptions. Develop and maintain reporting systems related to inventory, production, and materials functions. Lead, coach, and develop the Production Control and Planning team, promoting continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs and individual strengths. Qualifications Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, and warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams. Proven experience leading crossfunctional teams to complete complex projects and achieve operational goals. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data analysis tools. Exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills, motivating and guiding teams toward business objectives. Indepth understanding of inventory management, logistics, transportation, and warehouse optimization techniques. Willingness to travel 25% of the time, primarily within North America, with occasional international travel.
