Strong Bros. General Contracting seeks a skilled Tug Boat Captain for a marine project along the scenic Lake Ontario shoreline. This role involves commanding a tug vessel to transport essential materials safely and efficiently. As part of a dynamic team, you will utilize your Master 60 GT certification to oversee marine operations, transport rock and other aggregates, and manage barge handling. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are vital to ensure seamless coordination with project and vessel teams, especially under varying weather conditions. Key Responsibilities: Command a ~36 GT tug vessel for material transport Perform routine vessel inspections regarding safety Coordinate with site teams for effective operations Maintain operational logs and respond to mechanical issues Ensure compliance with marine safety regulations Requirements: Master 60 GT Certificate issued by Transport Canada Marine Emergency Duties and ROC-M Certification Proven experience in commercial tug operations Familiarity with multi-vessel coordination Valid medical certification from Transport Canada Leverage your maritime expertise with Strong Bros. to enhance our marine construction ventures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
