Job Description

Brandt is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technology located in our Nisku location. This position is responsible for working with the Shop Manager, Sr. Manufacturing Engineers and other departments within the org. and vendors outside the Org. to improve efficiency and product quality by designing manufacturing processes, fixtures, workflows, equipment, and vendor equipment integration. The documentation integration to produce seamless Operators, parts and service manuals for the dealer channel to use is also a part of this position. Duties & Responsibilities Working closely with the Shop manager, vendor installation drawing, instructions and shop floor to develop efficient upfitting flow to improve efficiencies and increase quality of products being built Maximizing efficiency by analyzing layout of process equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization Utilizing the appropriate tools and methodologies of lean manufacturing to inspire continuous improvement operating excellence Managing projects from concept to completion Creating and implement meaningful metrics that can be used to benchmark performance and highlight future opportunities Documenting process methods and develops standard operating procedures Manage record keeping for Nation Safety Mark (NSM) Other duties as assigned Required Skills Knowledge of commonly-used practices and equipment used in manufacturing Experience in CAD/CAM is required; experience with SolidWorks is preferred Must be self-motivated Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be familiar with quality and lean principles Must be well-organized and capable of multi-tasking Strong project management skills Strong attention to detail Design or manufacturing engineering experience is required An engineering degree or mechanical technologist diploma is required Required Experience Knowledge of commonly-used practices and equipment used in manufacturing Experience in CAD/CAM is required; experience with SolidWorks is preferred Must be self-motivated Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be familiar with quality and lean principles Must be well-organized and capable of multi-tasking Strong project management skills Strong attention to detail Design or manufacturing engineering experience is required An engineering degree or mechanical technologist diploma is required #J-18808-Ljbffr
