Crew Leaders are liveu2011in staff for the full duration of the summer program. This position takes places at Esker Lakes Provincial Park. Transportation cost support for individuals travelling from out of province. **OYEP Crew Leaders (CLs)** are responsible for the **dayu2011tou2011day supervision, safety, and support of youth participants (u201cRangersu201d)** throughout the Outland Youth Employment Program. Crew Leaders work directly with youth and play a primary role in modeling workplace expectations, healthy group living, and professional behaviour. Many Rangers are experiencing their first job and first paychequeu2014Crew Leaders are essential mentors in building confidence, accountability, and readiness for work. Crew Leaders maintain a clean, orderly, and professional camp environment at all times and are expected to build respectful, supportive relationships with Rangers and staff. This is a highly handsu2011on leadership role that requires maturity, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills in a communal, remote setting. Crew Leaders provide **constant, supportive supervision** , assist with questions or challenges as they arise, and mentor Rangers through work projects, academic components, and daily routines. Crew Leaders are expected to act as **positive, professional role models** at all times. Crew Leaders may be assigned a **Camp Leading Role** (e.g., Safety Officer, Educational Support, Recreation Lead, Social Media) and, when applicable, will mentor a **Crew Leader in Training (CIT)** as part of staff development and succession planning. **This role takes place in a full live in environment throughout the summer. Meals, accommodations, and on site transportation are provided for all staff and participants.** **You must be available for the entirety of the program.
