FortisBC is seeking a Government Relations and Public Affairs Manager in Surrey, BC, to focus on energy policy and stakeholder engagement. Leverage your expertise in climate change and excellent communication skills to lead impactful strategies. In this full-time role, you'll develop and execute plans to drive Zero- and Low-Carbon strategies impacting various sectors like transportation and industry. Your expertise will educate stakeholders on the role of FortisBC in the clean energy economy, fostering collaboration and engagement for climate action. You will ensure alignment on regulatory requirements and strategic objectives across business units. Key Responsibilities: Understand energy and climate policy implications at local and federal levels Develop and advance government relations plans for FortisBC Engage stakeholders on the clean energy transition and advocacy efforts Collaborate for strategic policy outreach and prioritization Lead climate-related policy engagement within business units Requirements: Degree in public policy, energy management, or related field Familiarity with political landscapes and governance in B.C.
