What youu2019ll do Dealers are the driving force behind our brand, holding a special place in the hearts of Canadian consumers within the communities they work and live in. The Dealer Training and Development team ensures that new Dealers develop the competencies they need to lead Canadian Tire and Party City businesses. Reporting to the Manager of Dealer Training & Development, the Program Consultant, Dealer Training and Development, prepares new Dealers for their career as a Canadian Tire Associate Dealer. The Program Consultant is accountable to support end to end training program delivery, including planning, coordination, progress tracking, and direct coaching of Training Dealers.u2022 Support coordination of multi-phase training plans which includes planning, coordination, progress trackingu2022 Maintain and manage training content for on assigned curriculum of the Dealer Training Programu2022 Develop and maintain a network of Subject Matter Experts and key business contacts, including Canadian Tire store owners, field, and Home Office teams to stay up-to-date and ensure training is in line with current business priorities, procedures and practices and industry trendsu2022 Analyze results to identify performance gaps and adjust training as requiredu2022 Coach and provide ongoing feedback to Trainees on overall training program performance. u2022 Assess training progress and performance, addressing any training adjustments required u2022 Identify and effectively communicate any performance or planning risks (e.g., trainee readiness, SME availability)u2022 Be an active contributor in developing and implementing a vision for the future of the Dealer Training Program. This includes staying informed about training trends and best practices that optimize the learning experience and ensure continuous improvement of the program What you bringu2022 Canadian Tire Retail Store experience (Store Operations, Ordering or Automotive) knowledge an asset. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Copilot) u2022 Bilingual (English and French) an assetu2022 Exceptional communication skills with some facilitation and presentation experience to confidently lead training sessions and interact with personnel ranging from store associates to cross functional leaders. u2022 Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships with Trainees, Subject Matter Experts and store ownersu2022 Self-starter who is driven, works well with minimal supervision and who can work autonomously within a strong team environmentu2022 Ability to balance competing priorities to deliver resultsu2022 Curiosity, always seeking ways to develop oneself, and leverage technology to identify and improveu2022 A combination of experience, technical training and knowledge of Instructional design fundamentals (adult learning principles, blended learning) will also be considered an asset.
