Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Federal Sector Services department. Reporting to the Director of Federal Sector, the Account Manager, Defence is responsible for independently managing an assigned portfolio of Department of National Defence (DND) customer accounts, leading account execution, solution engagement, and customer relationships. Working under broad direction, this role develops and maintains account plans, advances solution initiatives, and positions Esri Canadas software, professional services, and training solutions to address customer needs within the Federal environment. The Account Manager, Defence acts as the primary point of contact for assigned DND accounts and collaborates closely with Customer Success, Professional Services, and other internal stakeholders to support customer satisfaction, adoption, and sustained account engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of customer priorities, procurement environments, and solution value within a complex publicsector context. This role will be based in Ottawa, Canada. A Day in the Life of an Account Manager at Esri Canada: - Lead the execution of account management and solution engagement for an assigned portfolio of Department of National Defence customer accounts. - Build and maintain trusted relationships with DND customer stakeholders, developing a strong understanding of customer needs, priorities, and operating environment. - Identify, shape, and advance solution opportunities with internal teams and senior Account Managers, supporting alignment to customer objectives. - Develop and maintain account plans that support customer outcomes, longterm account development, and sustained engagement within the Federal Sector. - Act as the primary point of contact for assigned DND accounts, coordinating internal resources to support customer objectives and solution delivery. - Partner with Customer Success to support coordinated customer engagement, renewal planning, and expansion opportunities. - Lead responses to RFPs, proposals, and customer requests, coordinating contributions from internal subjectmatter experts as required. - Communicate solution value clearly and effectively, tailoring messaging to DND stakeholders and decisionmakers. - Maintain accurate visibility into account activity, priorities, and solution discussions within Salesforce. - Maintain a solid working knowledge of Esri Canada products, services, partner solutions, and their application within the Department of National Defence context. What you bring to the team: - Minimum 5 years of experience in a role focused on influencing outcomes, delivering internal or external solutions, and managing stakeholder relationships, or experience in sales or account management involving solutionbased selling. - Demonstrated experience managing customer accounts. - Experience working with Federal or publicsector clients is preferred - Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and other internal teams. - Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM tools. - University Degree and or College Diploma in GIS, Geography or related discipline. - An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. - Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions Bonus points for this position: - Proven ability to independently manage customer relationships and drive sales outcomes. - Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Demonstrated customer focus and ability to translate business needs into solutionbased recommendations. - Strong organizational, forecasting, and timemanagement skills. - Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset. This role offers a base salary range of $76,000 to $103,200 annually, and additional commission/incentive, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
