With continued growth across both solicitor and litigation groups, Boardwalk is looking to add strong support talent to help scale its practice.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant (23+ years) to support a team of 23 lawyers, including a partner. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in civil litigation, with comprehensive knowledge of the rule of civil litigation who is looking to take on both administrative and substantive responsibilities.The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative in supporting busy litigation practices.Key ResponsibilitiesManage calendars, deadlines, and scheduling for lawyersCoordinate meetings, calls, and court appearancesPrepare correspondence and assist with client communicationSupport billing and time entry processesMaintain and organize physical and electronic filesDraft, format, and prepare litigation materials including pleadings and motion materialsAssemble court materials and assist with filings through online court systemsUpload and manage materials in CaseLinesMaintain document organization and file management across mattersSupport lawyers on active litigation files, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are metQualificationsMinimum 23+ years of experience as a legal assistant or law clerk in a civil litigation environmentWorking knowledge of the Rules of Civil ProcedureExperience supporting multiple lawyers in a fast-paced settingStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and AdobeFamiliarity with CaseLines and online court filing systemsExperience with NetDocuments or Soluno is an assetExperience with construction disputes in an assetSkills & AttributesHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsProactive, go-getter mindset with the ability to take initiativeStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectivelyComfortable working in a fully in-office, team-oriented environmentCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $65,000 $80,000, depending on experience and cross-functional expertise3 weeks vacation (with flexibility)Comprehensive benefits packageRRSP MatchingOpportunity to grow within a rapidly expanding firmAbout Minted Search GroupWe work with mid-sized and boutique law and accounting firms and private companies across Canada and the U.S. the kinds of organizations doing top-tier work without the layers of a massive shop.
