YOU WILL - Create and update PAC/HMI programs, documentation and drawings - Troubleshoot PCS/SCADA problems in conjunction with operations and maintenance personnel - Develop Control Narrative, P&IDs, manuals and alarm management systems - Oversee PCS/SCADA contractors including project coordination, supervision of project implementation, contract administration and quality control as it relates to PCS/SCADA projects. - Monitors and provides project leadership for all new or upgrade work for water/wastewater in the area of PCS/SCADA - Conduct special studies and assessments to determine SCADA infrastructure upgrade and replacement needs in conjunction with external consultants and/or Branch Operations staff. - Participate in the development and implementation of PCS/SCADA standards; ensures PCS/SCADA standards are adhered to in all new asset creation, upgrades and modifications. WHAT YOULL NEED - Successful completion of a three (3) year Community College Diploma in Automation or Control Systems Technology or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum five (5) years demonstrated experience providing project implementation analysis and support in Industrial Automation, SCADA, Process Controls Systems, data integrity, including 3 years related PCS/SCADA experience and security as it relates to water/wastewater operations and compliance. - Satisfactory Police Criminal Background Check. - Must successfully obtain Operator-in-Training certificates in Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, Water Treatment and Water Distribution & Supply within six (6) months of commencing employment. - Must successfully obtain Level I certificates in Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment within time frames established in accordance Ministry of Environment regulations. - Knowledge of related acts, guidelines, regulations and legislation and the PCS/SCADA Standards. - Experience and demonstrated ability on functional and technical levels of Real Time Data Acquisition Systems, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and other technology systems and in the use of relational databases. - Demonstrated knowledge of water/wastewater related technologies, treatment processes and process control. - Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Process Control and Automation systems development life cycle processes using databases and programming languages. - As a condition of employment, candidates are required to complete a medical assessment that measures their functional abilities and confirms their immunization status.
