Hastings District Council's Public Spaces & Buildings team is responsible for the planning, delivery, and maintenance of parks, reserves, playgrounds, and public facilities across Hastings. Working closely with contractors and our community, we ensure these spaces are safe, functional, and well cared for, helping to create places where people can connect, relax, and enjoy the district. Were looking for a proactive and skilled Project Officer to lead capital and renewal projects for buildings and public spaces identified in our Long Term and Asset Management Plans, including street upgrades, playgrounds and building renewal projects. Youll manage project delivery ensuring compliance with Council policies and best-practice project management principles. The role also includes collecting and maintaining accurate asset data, preparing and evaluating tender documentation, and supervising contracts as the Engineers Representative. Strong relationship building skills are essential, as youll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
