Family Physician 0.25-0.75 FTE Churchill & Lac Brochet, Brochet, Tadoule Lake Hourly Range: $237.32 On-call stipend, Meal per Diem and Additional Hours Site Description: Churchill: 1004 air kilometers north of Winnipeg on the west shore of Hudson Bay (Population: approx. 900) Lac Brochet: 423 air kilometers west of Churchill (Population: approx. 990) Brochet: 439 air kilometers west of Churchill (Population: approx. 400) Tadoule Lake: 258 air kilometers west of Churchill (Population: approx. 310) Physicians deploy from Winnipeg to community sites through chartered aircrafts, Monday through Friday on rotational time frames. In-province travel and accommodations covered by organization. Out of province travel paid with physicians holding 0.25 FTE (5-7 days monthly). Out of province travel paid for locum providers with a commitment of 2 consecutive weeks (12 days). Qualifications Must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, or eligible for licensure. Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA). Certifications Must have current Advanced Life Support (ACLS). Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) (within 6 months of hire). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 6 months of hire). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (within 6 months of hire). Indigenous cultural awareness course (within 6 months of hire). Manitoba Opioid Antagonist Therapy (OAT) course or equivalent is encouraged. Skills/Abilities Strong health assessment and clinical skills are required. Excellent leadership, critical thinking and collaborative interpersonal skills. Must be selfmotivated and able to work independently, working as a member of a health care team alongside extended practice nurses, paramedics and other allied professionals. Must demonstrate an appreciation of Indigenous worldviews, cultures and be sensitive in providing antiracist, traumainformed care. Must be able to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible. Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record, including attendance at work.
