This role is ideal for professionals with strong domain expertise in Liquidity Management and Virtual Accounts, combined with deep architectural experience in enterprise banking environments. The Technical Architect will play a key role in designing and governing scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions aligned with enterprise standards. The individual will work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to enable delivery of next-generation liquidity and account solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end solution architecture for liquidity and virtual account platformsTranslate business requirements into robust, scalable, and compliant technical designsEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture frameworks, risk, and regulatory standardsProvide architectural oversight across system integration, data flows, and API ecosystemsCollaborate with stakeholders across Payments, Treasury, and Cash Management domainsSupport delivery teams through design reviews, governance, and technical guidanceContribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption and microservices transformation Required Experience & Skills10+ years of experience in technology architecture and software engineeringStrong domain expertise in:Liquidity ManagementVirtual AccountsCorporate Cash Management / PaymentsProven experience in large-scale banking or financial services environmentsStrong knowledge of:Microservices and API-led architectureCloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Event-driven and distributed systemsExperience designing high-availability, high-volume transaction systemsSolid understanding of security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in Canadian bankingPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Canadian payments ecosystem (e.g., Lynx, Interac, RTR)Knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging standardsExperience working within governance-heavy, matrixed organizationsStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholdersWhat Sets You ApartAbility to balance innovation with regulatory and risk considerationsExperience supporting enterprise transformation programsStrong leadership in driving architecture best practices and standardsNote: The salary range provided is indicative.
