Head of AI, GenAI & Agentic SystemsCompensation: Up to $285K base + equityLocation: Canada Only - RemoteCompany: A fast-growing, remote-first B2B SaaS company transforming workflows in the construction technology space.A scaling product-led SaaS business is hiring a Director-level Head of AI to lead its AI strategy, roadmap, and execution across the organization.This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can take AI from vision to production, define measurable success metrics, and build a scalable AI function inside a fast-moving technology company.The RoleYoull own the companys AI vision and roadmap, working closely with executive leadership to drive adoption of Generative AI, agentic workflows, RAG, and traditional machine learning across customer-facing products and internal systems.This is not a hands-off management role. You wont be coding day to day, but youll stay close enough to the technical work to guide architecture, unblock teams, and ensure high-quality delivery.What Youll DoDefine and execute the companys AI vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap tied to measurable business outcomesLead and scale a high-performing AI/ML function, including hiring, operating model, standards, and governanceOversee delivery of agentic AI and GenAI systems, including orchestration frameworks and model selectionOwn strategic direction for RAG platforms, including enterprise knowledge retrieval, quality, reliability, and consistencyEstablish KPIs, experimentation frameworks, and continuous improvement processesPartner with Engineering and Platform teams on an AWS-based AI ecosystemEnsure AI solutions meet privacy, security, and responsible AI requirementsAct as a strategic AI advisor to senior leadership, influencing product strategy and investment decisionsWhat Youll BringAI / machine learning experience, including significant leadership responsibilityProven track record delivering production AI systems, not just prototypes or researchStrong understanding of LLMs, RAG, agentic AI concepts, and key technical tradeoffsExperience leading cross-functional AI initiatives and managing executive stakeholdersAbility to communicate complex AI topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience overseeing AI systems deployed on AWSBonus PointsExperience with recommendation, ranking, personalization, or search systemsExperience building AI functions inside scaling product organizationsBackground in marketplace products, workflow automation, or document intelligenceWhy Join?This is an opportunity to shape AI strategy at the executive level while staying close to real product delivery.
