Youll work closely with our Business Lead, a strategic professional with a background in the entertainment industry who oversees customer acquisition, performance marketing, economic modeling, and executive reporting.They provide the data, financial models, and go-to-market strategy.You bring the on-the-ground experience, the vendors, and the execution.Together, you embody Bandsintowns Events division.You must be just as comfortable debriefing a site plan as you are discussing unit economics with your partner around a dashboard. The line between the two roles is blurred, thats what makes the duo so strong.About the opportunityWere looking for our Production Lead: the person who takes the wheel, pulls the strings, and turns a vision into an unforgettable event. Not just an executor : a leader.Youll be the cornerstone between the creative vision and the reality on the ground. From the site permit to the final lighting setup, youre in charge. You make the decisions. You deliver.What youll be doingOn-site operations & Technical productionAssist designers with their creative research related to set design, scenery, lighting, etc.Conduct and analyze site visits; negotiate venue rentals.Recruit and manage all staff and on-site operations: youll be familiar with every detail of the show, from greeting guests, validating their tickets, and seating them, to managing merch stands and bars, physical security, and more.Oversee permits, setup, and teardown with a truly hands-on approach.Assess venue requirements with the technical and creative teams.Apply your cross-functional knowledge: recruitment, management, lighting, sound, stage, video, and electrical installations.Budget controlBuild, track, and manage production budgets from start to finish: you have the final say on financial decisions on-site.Manage invoicing, payments, and the closing of the P&L for each event in coordination with the Business Lead.Negotiate supplier contracts and MSA agreements; identify opportunities for cost optimization.Leadership, networking & administrationLeverage your network in the events industry to identify and deploy the right resources at the right time.Source sets and other props from international suppliers at the best rates.Translate complex technical challenges into clear decisions for teams, management, and your Business Lead partner.Create and maintain production manuals, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking.Design & Pre-productionCoordinate design reviews to ensure alignment with the vision, feasibility, and financial objectives.Provide the Business Lead with on-the-ground data (actual costs, logistical constraints) to refine business models.What you bring to usProven experience: At least 5 years of experience in live event production, concerts, or entertainment (tours, immersive experiences).On-the-ground expertise: A solid track record of delivering complex productions with large budgets and strong logistical expertise.Strong network: An extensive network of professionals and suppliers who can be mobilized quickly throughout North America.English/Spanish bilingualism: Fluent in English and Spanish (strict requirement due to the heavily Hispanic-speaking U.S. market). French is an asset for our Montreal operations.Collaborative spirit: You are comfortable working with analytical and strategic minds, meaning you can read a P&L, understand marketing KPIs, and contribute to data-driven decisions.Leadership under pressure: Innovative, solution-oriented, capable of making critical decisions under pressure, with complete autonomy.Mobility: Ability to travel to the United States for extended periods (approximately 2 weeks per month minimum).What would your success look like?Your events are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed creative and experiential expectations.You build a scalable production infrastructure that Bandsintown can replicate in new markets.You establish Bandsintown as a credible and recognized player in the North American live production industry.Why join us?Base salary: $70,000 minimum.Performance bonus: 20% (to be determined based on success and performance goals).Career growth: High-performing individuals can advance to roles such as Senior Business Lead Director VP/General Manager (VP/GM) as the division expands into multiple markets.Vacation: 4 weeks, which you can take right from the start without having to accrue them.Schedule: 40 hours, except in July and August when we switch to 36 hours with Summer Fridays (no work in the afternoon!).Work style: hybrid, travel, in-office, remoteHealth insurance: Active from day one! The employer pays 60% and you pay 40%. It covers prescription drugs, dental care, specialists, travel, and disability (short- and long-term).Stipends: $15 per month for your music streaming subscriptions (cool!); $200 per year to treat yourself to concert tickets.RRSP: The plan is currently being revised to be more advantageous, starting from your first year.Above all, because this opportunity only comes once.
