This is a full-time, in-person role requiring the candidate to work from the office.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in family law litigation, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage files and clients. Experience or exposure to other areas of lawsuch as Real Estate, Immigration, or Civil and Commercial Litigationis preferred and will be considered a strong asset.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of family law mattersIndependently manage family law files from intake to resolutionRepresent clients in court proceedings, including case conferences, motions, and hearings relating to divorce, custody, access, and supportDraft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and separation agreementsConduct legal research to support case strategies and argumentsNegotiate settlements and attend mediations on behalf of clientsCommunicate directly with clients, ensuring professionalism, responsiveness, and trustMaintain strict client confidentiality and high ethical standardsContribute, where applicable, to files in other practice areas such as Real Estate, Immigration, or Civil and Commercial LitigationQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degreeMember in good standing with the Law Society of OntarioMinimum of 1+ year experience handling Family Law matters, with litigation exposure preferredProven ability to independently handle files and manage client relationshipsStrong knowledge of Ontario family law legislation, procedures, and court processesExperience or familiarity with additional practice areas is preferredProficiency in legal research and drafting, with experience using tools such as LexisNexisStrong negotiation and advocacy skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSkills & CompetenciesStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlinesHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy in document preparationProficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new legal software systemsAbility to multi-task, take detailed notes, and manage competing prioritiesProfessional, client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamAdditional RequirementsThis is an in-person position based in Vaughan, OntarioThe selected candidate must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to the office location (Concord, ON L4K 3T8)Valid Certificate of Good Standing requiredCompensationSalary range: $60,000 $80,000 per year, commensurate with experienceApplication ProcessInterested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter, resume, and a writing sample to:
