Company: Mindful CareerLocation: RemoteType: Contract / Part-Time to StartReports to: CEOLevel: Senior, hands-on execution roleHours: 15-18 hours per week to startPay: $70 to $100/hour CAD, depending on experience and proven results About Mindful CareerMindful Career is a psychologist-led career counselling and workforce strategy company helping professionals, students, leaders, and organizations navigate career clarity, job search, leadership development, burnout, return-to-work planning, and workforce transformation.We are growing across Canada and the U.S. and are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on digital marketer to help us scale our marketing engine.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist / Hands-On Growth Marketer who can personally execute across SEO, content, organic social, podcast-driven content, paid social, SEM support, creative strategy, pre-acquisition email campaigns, and performance optimization.This is not a role for someone who only manages agencies or gives high-level recommendations. We need someone who can do the work directly: write SEO content, optimize pages, manage social media, post content, respond to comments, launch paid social tests, support B2B email campaigns, review analytics insights, and make weekly improvements based on performance.The ideal candidate is senior enough to think strategically, but hands-on enough to execute independently.This role exists to help fill our sales engine with high-quality leads and booked calls. The goal is to increase qualified lead volume, improve lead quality, support lower CAC across channels, and ensure marketing activity is connected to booked calls and revenue.Key ResponsibilitiesSEO & ContentOwn SEO from A to Z, including keyword research, content planning, on-page SEO, technical SEO coordination, internal linking, and link-building strategy.Write and optimize SEO content, including blogs, landing pages, service pages, city pages, and Google Business Profile content.Support Canadian SEO growth and U.S. SEO expansion, including new city pages such as Boston, Seattle, and other target markets.Optimize content for both traditional Google search and AI-driven search visibility.Use AI tools intelligently for SEO research, content planning, testing, and optimization while maintaining expert-level quality and brand accuracy.Review SEO performance and make improvements based on rankings, traffic, conversions, booked calls, and lead quality.Organic Social, Podcasting & Thought LeadershipManage organic social media across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and future platforms.Create and manage the social media content calendar.Write captions, hooks, carousel copy, short-form video concepts, and LinkedIn thought leadership posts.Post content, respond to comments, manage engagement, and identify audience questions that can become future content.Turn CEO ideas, videos, voice notes, podcasts, and business priorities into high-performing social content.Support podcasting strategy by helping identify content angles, repurpose podcast appearances, create clips, write social captions, and turn podcast insights into SEO and social content.Help support the goal of 15 to 20 podcast appearances or podcast-driven content opportunities per year.Paid Social & SEM SupportBuild, launch, and optimize paid social campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta, Instagram, and potentially TikTok.Develop campaign angles, audiences, copy, creative tests, and landing page recommendations.Work with our Google Ads consultant to review SEM strategy and performance.Bring enough Google Ads knowledge to understand campaign structure, keyword strategy, lead quality, conversion tracking, and opportunities for improvement.Ensure paid campaigns are focused on qualified leads, booked calls, and revenue, not just clicks or impressions.Use performance data to improve CAC, lead quality, creative performance, and channel efficiency.Pre-Acquisition Email CampaignsSupport targeted pre-acquisition email campaigns, especially for B2B outreach, partnerships, schools, employers, and professional audiences.Write email campaign copy, subject lines, hooks, landing page messaging, and campaign angles.Help ensure email campaigns are connected to clear offers, landing pages, booking flows, and lead-generation goals.Collaborate with the sales and RevOps team to ensure marketing messaging aligns with HubSpot workflows, follow-up, and client acquisition strategy.Use email campaign performance data to improve messaging, targeting, and conversion.Ensure outreach is professional, brand-aligned, and appropriate for a psychology-led career services company.Analytics & CRO CollaborationWork closely with the CEO and analytics consultant to understand which channels are producing high-quality leads, booked calls, and revenue.Use analytics and CRO recommendations to improve SEO content, social content, paid social campaigns, landing pages, messaging, and creative.Adjust marketing activity based on performance data, including CAC, lead quality, booked calls, conversion rates, and revenue contribution.Collaborate with analytics to ensure campaigns are tagged, tracked, and measurable through UTMs and platform data.Translate analytics insights into practical marketing actions across SEO, social, paid social, content, and campaign execution.Identify what to stop, start, improve, test, and scale.Creative StrategyDevelop creative angles, hooks, messaging themes, content pillars, and campaign ideas.Ensure all content reflects Mindful Careers expert, psychologist-led positioning.Create content that translates complex topics like career psychology, layoffs, AI disruption, burnout, leadership, job search, student career planning, and workforce transformation into clear, compelling marketing.Test and refine creative based on performance.Work closely with the CEO to translate founder expertise, voice notes, videos, insights, and strategic ideas into scalable campaigns, content pillars, social posts, ads, landing pages, SEO assets, and email campaigns.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is:A senior digital marketer who is still very hands-on.A strong writer who can create expert-level SEO content, social copy, landing page copy, ad copy, and email campaign messaging.Experienced in SEO, organic social, paid social, email campaign copy, analytics collaboration, and conversion-focused marketing.Strong on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and B2B content strategy.Comfortable using data to make marketing decisions.Strong enough to understand CAC, lead quality, booked calls, conversion, and revenue contribution.Able to execute independently without relying on a large team.Fast, organized, creative, accountable, and proactive.Comfortable working in a fast-growing company where systems are being built and improved.Sensitive to brand voice, credibility, and professional services marketing.Required Experience7+ years of hands-on digital marketing, growth marketing, or performance marketing experience.Proven experience managing SEO from strategy through execution.Strong experience writing SEO content, blogs, landing pages, social posts, ad copy, and campaign copy.Experience managing organic social media directly across TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn.Experience with podcast, thought leadership, or founder-led content is an asset.Experience with paid social campaigns, especially LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads.Strong working knowledge of Google Ads.Experience with pre-acquisition email campaigns, especially B2B campaigns, is a strong asset.Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, HubSpot, UTMs, Google Business Profile, and platform analytics.Experience using data to improve lead volume, lead quality, booked calls, CAC, and conversion.Strong AssetsExperience in professional services, healthcare, psychology, education, HR, recruitment, coaching, or B2B services.Experience with AI search optimization and AI tools for content, SEO, and creative testing.Experience scaling marketing across Canada and the U.S.Experience with multi-location SEO and city landing pages.Experience with B2B lead generation campaigns.Experience with YouTube, podcasting, or thought leadership
