Experience working in Quickbooks Online and Excel is mandatory. Experience with other industry-specific billing software (e.g. Shopify, SellerCentral, Accuro, etc.) is considered an asset. Successful candidates shall be available to work in an in-person environment and be able to commute to our Vaughan office.ResponsibilitiesEnter transactions into accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks Online);Post and reconcile internal sales with deposits from the bank;Track Sales Tax and file HST/PST/QST Returns;Post Year-End adjusting entries;Be able to complete work within deadlines (e.g. prior to tax filing deadline);Prepare working papers for tax accountant (e.g. trial balance, balance sheet, etc.);Communicate with clients regarding the particulars of their financial dealings;Communicate with tax agencies regarding inquiries, audits and other issues (e.g. CRA, etc.)Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly);Analyze trends within financials and advise partners and clients accordingly;Communicate with accounting managers and partners on a frequent basis regarding accounting questions, issues and advice; andPerform other ad hoc accounting or bookkeeping tasks as required.RequirementsBachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting from an accredited Canadian or US Post-Secondary Institution;CPA or CPB Designation is considered an asset, or actively pursuing either;Relevant experience in financial accounting (2+ Years) required at other Accounting or Bookkeeping Firms;Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Quickbooks Online;Quickbooks Online Certification (Advanced is preferred);Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills;Excellent verbal and written skills, with acute attention to detail;Process-oriented, prioritizes workload and takes ownership of assigned files; andAbility to multitask, work independently and under pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracyCompensationPay Range : $60,000 - $70,000Quarterly Performance-Based BonusesBenefitsOption to contribute towards a Group Retirement Savings Plan (RSP);Work From Home twice a week (after probationary period is over);Coverage of Professional Dues (e.g. CPA or CPB Dues);Catered lunches once a week; andQuarterly Medical Reimbursements
