This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate professional to join a collaborative legal team and play a key role in managing complex corporate files while supporting lawyers and clients across a wide range of transactions.The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in corporate law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced practice.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, guidance, and coaching to a team of paralegalsPrepare and file documents for the incorporation of Manitoba, Federal, and professional corporationsComplete extra-provincial registrations and business name registrationsCreate, maintain, and organize electronic and physical corporate minute booksMaintain and update corporate records using corporate database softwarePrepare and file annual returns, annual resolutions, and business name renewals across multiple jurisdictionsDraft and file corporate documents related to amalgamations, amendments, dissolutions, share transfers, dividends, and changes of principalsConduct online filings and corporate searches with registries across CanadaAssist with documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizationsPrepare standard business and corporate agreementsServe as a key point of contact for lawyers, accountants, external counsel, and clientsRespond to inquiries and provide guidance on corporate filings and compliance mattersMonitor legislative changes to ensure corporate entities remain compliantMaintain and update corporate precedents, protocols, and procedures within the departmentSupport workflow coordination by delegating tasks appropriately and monitoring workloadsQualificationsSeveral years of experience as a Corporate Paralegal in a law firm or professional services environmentStrong working knowledge of corporate filings and procedures across Canadian jurisdictionsExperience maintaining corporate minute books and corporate recordsProficiency with corporate database software and electronic filing systemsExcellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with legal professionals and clientsAt Aplin together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
