Downtown Hamilton | Fast-Growing SaaS / FintechThe Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial records across multiple legal entities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong hands-on bookkeeping experience, advanced excel skills (i.e. Power Query, pivot tables, macros etc.), the ability to manage competing priorities, and a solid understanding of multi-entity accounting and period end close processes.What Youll Be DoingMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple entities, ensuring proper segregation, consistency, and integrity while processing high volume daily transactions.Manage fullcycle bookkeeping, including: Accounts receivable, bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, related party reconciliations, journal entries and general ledger maintenanceSupport monthend and yearend close processes across all entitiesPrepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliationsEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulationsAssist with financial reporting, including internal management reportsCoordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors as requiredIdentify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyProvide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as neededRespond to financerelated inquiries from internal stakeholdersWhat Were Looking ForBachelors degree in business, finance or similar field5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experienceProfessional accounting designation or progress toward one is an assetDemonstrated experience supporting multiple legal entitiesStrong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliationsProficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong organizational and communication skillsAccuracy and attention to detailOwnership and accountabilityConfidentiality and integrityStrong problemsolving skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCompensation & Perks$65,000 - $80,000Annual BonusHealth & Dental BenefitsHealth & Wellness Spending AccountsPerkopolis Staff DiscountsOn-Site Gym + Fitness Membership ConcessionsCoffee Bar with Barista + Unlimited SnacksMonthly Events, Friday Lunches & Daily BreakfastProfessional Growth & Development Opportunities
