With a diverse portfolio of programming for all ages,JHubwillstrengthen lifelong Jewish connection, shape strong identities, and inspire a sense of belonging.About The RoleThe Toronto ShinShinim Program brings 2024 posthigh school Israeli young leaders to Toronto for a year of volunteer service as experiential educators, sharing Israeli culture, society, and Jewish peoplehood across the community.Reporting to the Vice President, Education and programs, the Manager,Toronto ShinShinim Program serves as a comentor and primary point of contact for the ShinShinim. This role supports their personal integration, professional development, and community impact, while also managing the programs administrative and logistical operations, including events, transportation, and coordination with partners.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Personal Mentorship Provide individualized mentorship to support the personal wellbeing, adjustment, and growth of each ShinShin throughout the program year.Professional Mentorship Guide ShinShinim in developing and delivering educational programming on Israeli culture, society, and Jewish peoplehood at partner institutions.Team Collaboration Participate in regular ShinShinim team meetings to address group dynamics, mentoring needs, and program development.Program Oversight & Project Management Support the planning and execution of community programs and events, ensuring alignment with UJAs goals and timelines.Summer Camp Partnerships Maintain and strengthen relationships with summer camps participating in the UJA ShinShinim Program.Administrative & Logistical Support Manage program logistics, including transportation coordination, vulnerable sector checks, OHIP registration, stipends, winter clothing, and related operational needs.Qualifications & ExperienceAn educator at heart, with strong pedagogical insight and experience in working with Israeli Teens in experiential education context.Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills.Excellent interpersonal, relationshipbuilding, and communication skills.Fluency in spoken and written English; highlevel spoken Hebrew required.High level of availability and responsiveness. ShinShinim are young Israelis living abroad for the first time and require consistent support, guidance, and care.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight programs (e.g., retreats, Shabbatons).Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and partner organizations.Advanced computer proficiency.Deep knowledge of Israeli society and strong familiarity with the Toronto Jewish community.Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle are an asset.Marketing experience is an asset.This is a fulltime 12month contract position, . Salary Range: $66,000$76,000 annually, based on experience.At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
