Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Generalist will support the execution of HR initiatives and practices that support the assigned client groups and the overall organization.**Job Duties*** Provide support and guidance in the areas of policy and procedures, employee relations and labour relations, including collective agreement interpretation and dispute resolution* Provide confidential, professional and balanced support to operational leaders when addressing sensitive employee issues* Participate in conversations and localized programs to understand and improve employee engagement, employee retention and reduce turnover* Proactively work with managers and supervisors to identify potential issues* Be the first point of contact in HR for managers, supervisors and employees for the assigned client groups* Support organizational change initiatives for assigned client groups* Advise managers on interpretation and administration of HR policies, programs, procedures and collective agreements* Compile and report engagement, onboarding, retention and offboarding data to identify trends, enhance the process and develop strategies for areas of improvement.* Investigate employee concerns and ensure follow-through from beginning to end* Provide benefits guidance, HRIS support, reporting and auditing**Requirements*** Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field of study* 3 5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist capacity, with demonstrated experience in both unionized and non-unionized workplace environments* CPHR designation or working towards* Knowledge and experience of current Labour Laws, the Labour Relations Code, Human Rights and Employment Standards* Experience working with labour relations issues* High attention to detail and a proven track record of completing project tasks* Ability to work independently, under pressure and adapt to evolving priorities and timelines* Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism* Project management skills* Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to organizational change by building and leveraging professional working relationships* Travel will be required to sites being supported (15 - 20%)* This will be a 12 months contract role*We thank you for your interest.
