Position Summary The Sr. Manager, Security APJ/GC region serves as the Global Security representative for the APJ/GC region and manages all physical security, investigations, travel security, and guard services for all Illumina sites within the region. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Global Security, works from the Singapore campuses, and collaborates with regional security peers and the Global Physical Security Systems Team to align all region security systems to global standards. Position Responsibilities - Establish or improve APJ/GC regional campus security processes. - Standardize contract security operations staff during assigned shifts, define and align remote supervisor expectations, and troubleshoot security operations for the Illumina APJ/GC campuses and remote locations. - Manage relationships with APJ/GC company leadership from various functions, including Campus Leadership, EH&S, Facilities, Commercial Operations & Event Planning; act as the representative for the Director of Global Security when appropriate. - Provide strategic risk assessment and apply security management best practices and principles in accordance with Illuminas global security policy and physical security systems for the APJ/GC region. Position Requirements - Deliver services at Illumina APJ/GC campuses utilizing physical security systems and programs that align with global security strategy and policies. - Play a key support role in the maturation of the regional security program, including threat and risk assessment, investigations, and establishment of security processes. - Collaborate with the Physical Security Systems Team to support systems used in protecting people and assets within the region. - Identify and mitigate threats of violence and/or disruptions that could affect Illumina physical assets or intellectual property. - Develop and execute security plans for emergency response and key projects. - Assist in formulating and deploying policies, procedures, operational standards, and related activities supporting campus-wide physical security and safety initiatives. - Serve on campus-wide planning teams representing the Global Security Program and provide support for all aspects of program development and policy compliance. - Identify system integrators and coordinate installation and maintenance services. - Maintain close working relationships with key APJ/GC site and business leaders, and help identify operational budgets and capital projects. - Manage Physical Security Systems Specialists, ensuring alignment with global systems and operations programs for the region. - Travel 1015% of the time, primarily within the APJ/GC region, with occasional travel outside the region as required. Preferred Experience / Education / Skills - Bachelors or Masters Degree in an applicable field or equivalent. - Typically 12+ years of direct work experience, including 36 years of management experience. - Experience handling elevated issues arising from daily activities. - Apply broad management, functional expertise, and knowledge to subordinates, managers, and staff. - Develop key relationships with important customers and suppliers.
