Role: Copywriter Location: Toronto, Canada About the role Youll be the creative voice behind campaigns and content that connect brands with audiences through compelling storytelling and persuasive messaging. Working at the intersection of brand strategy, consumer insights, and creative execution, youll translate complex ideas into clear, engaging copy that drives action across multiple touchpoints. Were looking for someone who can balance brand consistency with fresh creativity, finding the perfect tone and message for every audience and channel. Success means creating copy that not only engages but converts, building brand affinity while achieving campaign objectives. What you will be doing Create compelling copy for integrated campaigns across digital, social, email, display, and print media that drives engagement and conversion. Incorporate the brand voice guidelines and messaging frameworks that ensure consistency while allowing for creative flexibility across channels. Write persuasive product descriptions, landing pages, and sales materials that clearly communicate value propositions and drive purchase decisions. Collaborate with creative teams, strategists, and account managers to translate briefs into compelling creative concepts and executions. Adapt messaging for different audiences, channels, and campaign objectives while maintaining brand integrity and voice. Transform complex information and technical features into accessible, benefitfocused copy that resonates with target consumers. Guide copy testing strategies including A/B tests for subject lines, headlines, and calltoaction messaging. Present creative concepts and copy rationale to clients and stakeholders, connecting creative decisions to business outcomes. Stay current with language trends, cultural moments, and industry best practices to keep copy fresh and relevant. Deliver copy that improves key metrics such as engagement rates, clickthrough rates, conversion rates, and brand recall. What you need to be great in this role A portfolio demonstrating versatile copywriting across channels, with strong creative thinking and brand voice development. Experience writing for digital channels including websites, social media, email marketing, and paid advertising. Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences, from technical B2B communications to consumerfocused brand messaging. Understanding of directresponse copywriting principles and conversionoptimization techniques. Strong research skills for understanding target audiences, competitive landscape, and industry trends. Excellent editing and proofreading abilities with attention to detail and brand consistency. Experience collaborating with designers, strategists, and project managers in fastpaced creative environments. Knowledge of content management systems and basic understanding of SEO copywriting principles. Proficiency with GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, Copy.ai, Grammarly) to enhance ideation, research, and copy refinement. Agentic mindset: ability to break down complex creative briefs systematically and identify optimal messaging approaches. Experience using AI for content research, headline generation, and copy variation development. Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in copywriting, with strong human creativity and brand voice oversight. Ability to leverage AI tools while maintaining authentic brand personality and emotional connection. Experience integrating AI workflows to improve content production efficiency and creative iteration speed. Experience with financial services, fintech, or regulated industries including compliance considerations for marketing communications. Knowledge of longform content creation including white papers, case studies, and thought leadership pieces. Experience with UX writing principles for digital interfaces and user experience optimization. Understanding of marketing automation and personalized content strategies. Familiarity with video scriptwriting and audio content development. At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $76,500.00 to $85,500.00. Individual compensation varies based on jobrelated factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVERs total compensation package.
