Retail Accounts Payable Head Office Calgary Professionalism, the ability to multitask, strong teamwork skills, and a passion for food and service are essential! Responsibilities - Process high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently. - 3way match of PO, Proof of Delivery (POD), and invoices to ensure only valid invoices are paid. - Prepare for weekly payment run to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors (cheques, electronic, and wire transfers). - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies and aging reports in a timely manner. - Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships and accurate records. - Create and maintain vendor profiles and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. - Collaborate with other team members to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting timelines. - Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures. - Reconcile and clear some AP general ledger accounts and suspense accounts. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and external regulations. - Support preparation for annual audit. - Provide support and training to team members as needed. - Participate in crossfunctional projects and initiatives. - Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Qualifications - Postsecondary education in Accounting or related field required. - 2+ years of relevant accounting experience required; retail experience is an asset. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). - Ability to work in a fastpaced environment. - Attention to detail. - Ability to process and analyze large volumes of numerical data. - Strong organizational and administrative skills. - Experience in reporting, analysis, and reconciliation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Professional, approachable, and teamoriented. - Required availability: MondayFriday, 8:00am5:00pm.
