They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will help drive meaningful improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, and overall plant performance.As the successful candidate, you will be instrumental in improving manufacturing operations by implementing engineering solutions, refining processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify opportunities, resolve operational challenges, and enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, and overall plant performance.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and costDesign and implement mechanical and process improvements to optimize productionSupport research and development activities by conducting studies, tests, data collection, analysis, and reportingLead and support capital improvement projects, including equipment upgrades, layout changes, and process modificationsWork closely with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement long-term solutionsProvide day-to-day technical support to production with a focus on safety, reliability, and cost reductionMonitor equipment and system performance and address operational issues as they ariseConduct time studies, root cause analysis, and risk assessments to support decision-makingEvaluate new equipment, technologies, and manufacturing methods to improve throughput and reliabilitySupport installation, commissioning, testing, and training for new equipment and processesDevelop and maintain process documentation and operating instructionsEnsure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable codesTrack and report on key process improvement metricsPerform other related duties as requiredAs the ideal candidate, you have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and hold a P.Eng designation, and bring a minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment focused on process improvement or plant engineering. You have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes, along with proven experience managing engineering projects from concept through implementation.Comfortable in a hands-on, plant-floor environment, you work effectively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies, as well as exposure to automation, robotics, or material handling systems, is highly valued.
