In this role, you will collaborate with passionate experts and contribute to innovative projects that create real impact in our communities. As a Solar PV Engineer with us, you will be part of our national renewable energy team, leveraging your skills in the design and optimization of solar project systems across Canada. Your Impact Youll assist with the design of utility scale solar projects across Canada. This includes coordinating with the electrical, civil, structural, environmental and geotechnical team. Youll optimize solar PV systems including equipment selection and system parameters. Youll support clients throughout various phases of the project, ranging from initial feasibility studies to the comprehensive design process. Youll track and evaluate new solar PV equipment (modules, racking, inverters) options. Youll work with the solar team in improving solar design methodologies and product offerings. Youll assist in due diligence reviews of pre-construction or existing assets. Youll assist in review of work done by others during design and construction. Youll organize and document geospatial data and generate deliverables using AutoCAD/GIS software. Youll communicate methodology and results through technical reports and presentations. The skills that set you apart Experience in the solar energy industry (a must). Enthusiasm for renewable energy solutions. Experience with solar detailed design. Title of engineer in one of Canada's provinces. Pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and collaborative approach to problem solving. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions. Experience with solar modeling software (Helioscope, PVSyst, SAM) is considered an asset.
