Job Description

Pediatric Physiotherapist Contract, PartTime for 12 monthsLocation: Midland, Orillia What You Will Be Doing Support a Tiered Model schoolbased rehabilitation program. Assess and build client and familycentered therapy care plans based on the students developmental needs (e.g., gross motor programming, mobility equipment recommendations) and collaborate closely with the school team and family. Provide care to complex pediatric clients (neurological and musculoskeletal conditions) while supervising PTAs within childrens homes and schools. Build therapy care plans and recommend equipment based on the clients developmental, safety, and functional needs. Act as a pediatric client advocate, facilitating partnerships between families, schools, and local healthcare systems to ensure clients can attend and participate in school and community activities and engage successfully with the curriculum. Qualifications Current active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing. Previous pediatric experience is preferred. ADP Authorizer or willingness to be trained is preferred. Knowledge of legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice. Knowledge of principles of reflective practice. Use a systematic approach to decisionmaking during the development, implementation, and evaluation of the physiotherapy care plan. Ability to manage time and workload effectively. Ensure appropriate and secure documentation. Ability to work within a flexible schedule and adaptable environment. Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position. Valid drivers licence and reliable insured vehicle. Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) within 12 months of hire (or in process), with a current Criminal Records Check.
