Opportunity Reporting to the Director, Health Equity, Safety and Wellness, the Senior Consultant will provide operational direction, lead program and project implementation, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and antiracism (EDIRA) strategies. Key responsibilities include: Consultation with IWK team members, system partners and community organizations. Guiding IWK Healths EDIRA and health and wellness strategies, supporting related committees, and developing metrics for evaluation. Identifying and developing partnerships with government, private industry, academia, and community groups to increase outreach. Using consensus building, project and program management, facilitation, and evidencebased decisionmaking to achieve strategic goals. Operationalizing and tracking actions aligned with IWKs Health strategies, Road Forward and People strategies, ensuring policies and programs apply an EDIRA lens. Advising and supporting team members on integration of best practices and service delivery. Developing and maintaining an annual operational plan that aligns with portfolio strategic goals. Hours of Work Monday Friday, 37.5 hours/week Hybrid; required inoffice days Your Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (e.g., health, diversity studies, social work, public or business administration, psychology) or equivalent experience and commitment to antiracism initiatives. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in workplace health, safety, wellness, or related fields, with demonstrated project and program management skills. Proven ability in planning, delivery, evaluation, and outcome management of projects and programs. Strong independent decisionmaking, problemsolving, selfdirection, motivation, change management, and team building/leadership skills. Capacity to work collaboratively, build coalitions, and demonstrate negotiation, conflict management, consultative, influencing, and coaching skills. Solutionfocused, innovative response to trends in healthcare, population health, and system transformation. Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation communication skills. General knowledge of healthcare issues, labour trends, health research, education, and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint); willingness to learn new systems. Commitment to person, patient, and familycentered care.
