Location Peterborough, ON Our Role Kits Team Leader The Kits Team Leader leads customer facing solutions in regard to the supply of spare parts and maintenance overhaul kits. The end use of these critical components are fuel handling systems, medical isotope delivery systems, specialized tooling and process plant systems in the nuclear industry. Day to Day Functional leadership of a multidisciplinary team that is accountable to deliver two separate product lines of parts or groups of parts for a specific maintenance activity. This position also is responsible for implementing process simplification and streamlined practices from the industry. This position requires frequent interaction with customers as well as internal operational groups as a highly strategic part of an integrated approach. Providing strategic leadership for multidisciplinary team in the execution of parts and kits supply Achieving and maintaining effective project planning, reporting management, milestone completion ontime/onbudget, meeting metrics, and achieving results through influencing, actions and setting of expectations. Building and maintaining customer relationships through regular meetings with key customer senior staff. Resolving customer conflicts when necessary. Leading the negotiation of new customer contracts. Leading continual change efforts to achieve cost reduction and process simplification and foster a positive, productive work environment based on teamwork and employee engagement. Establishing departmental plans and goals including success criteria, risks, activities, deliverables, resource requirements and budget. Holding communication meetings with staff to relay goals, objectives, expectations and other general information impacting the function. Recruiting and developing staff, including retention and training for the department. Understanding and ensuring staff compliance with applicable external codes, regulations and guidelines as well as internal standards set by BWXT. Coaching and mentoring staff to achieve best in class results. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or Business preferred). Technical Degree/Diploma or Technical certifications in the areas of Supply Management, Logistics, Project Management or related fields would also be considered. Minimum 5 or more years experience in manufacturing, procurement & or equivalent workrelated experience. Minimum 3 years in a leadership position. Short term travel (approximately 10%) may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients and stakeholders. Desired characteristics: PMP certification and/or PEO license is considered an asset, but is not required. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Engineering design, team leadership, product design leadership, manufacturing team leadership, commercial operations, project coordination and/or project planning. Knowledge of data management and manipulation in Excel such as visual basic programming, spreadsheet server, and pivot tables. Resource and financial management experience. Experience in the nuclear industry is considered an asset but not required.
