We have support offices located in ON, MB and SK, however this role can be located anywhere in Canada. This position plays a critical role in ensuring patients prescribed specialty medications gain timely access to their treatments through public and private funding channels. The successful candidate will also contribute to strategic manufacturer partnerships, procurement strategy, and the expansion of infusion servicesparticularly in Saskatchewan.ResponsibilitiesReimbursement & Special Authorization SupportManage Special Authorization (SA) and reimbursement submissions for patients prescribed specialty medications across all Neighbourly Pharmacy locationsCollaborate with pharmacists, prescribers, and Patient Support Programs (PSPs) to gather required documentation and ensure timely coverage decisionsNavigate private insurance, public drug plans, and manufacturer-sponsored coverage programsTrack and follow up on submissions to minimize therapy access delaysManufacturer & Patient Support Programs EngagementSet up and manage direct manufacturer agreements that enable Neighbourly pharmacies to deliver clinical services in-house (e.g., reimbursement support, injection training, infusion services)Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, PSP providers, and relevant industry stakeholdersIdentify new collaboration opportunities with pharmaceutical manufacturers to expand Neighbourlys specialty pharmacy and infusion service offeringsEnsure all agreements are compliant with privacy legislation, IMC guidelines, and internal compliance standardsProcurement StrategyLeverage relationships with wholesalers to develop and optimize procurement strategies for select specialty moleculesCollaborate with vendors to ensure equal access to programs and support services associated with these moleculesIdentify cost-efficiency opportunities and support margin protection for high-cost specialty drugsInfusion Services SupportSupport the development of infusion services, with a focus on growing the business in SaskatchewanIdentify and establish strategic partnerships to manage the costs of infusion therapy while maintaining patient accessEnsure infusion service standards are followed to minimize patient risk and reduce the likelihood of adverse eventsWork with internal teams to expand the reach and quality of Neighbourly's infusion offeringsQualifications & SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience with developing specialty pharmaceutical programs is requiredLicensed Pharmacist or Nurse is preferredFamiliarity with IMC compliance and healthcare privacy standardsKnowledge of specialty medications, infusion therapies, and clinical service delivery modelsExcellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skillsStrategic analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutionsTeam-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departmentsStrong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environmentWillingness and ability to travel across CanadaNeighbourly Pharmacy is an equal opportunity employer.
